It's the church service that sounds like a concert! The music at this church is always concert-quality, and everyone is welcome to come. I'll be playing trumpet with my spouse, trumpeter Angela Gosse, in a program of music for two trumpets, organ and tympani. The program is part of the Installation Mass for the church's pastor, Bishop Andrew St. John (whose position will now be "Rector"). The program includes: "Fanfare for Organ and Brass" by Martin Bresnick, and other goodies by Eugene Gigout, William McKie, Herbert Howells, and Charles Wood. The organist is the very accomplished Claudia Dumschat. Church of the Transfiguration ("The Little Church Around the Corner") - One East 29th Street, New York. View the church's website here.
