Holiday Concert with the Goliard Chamber Orchestra, produced by Goliard Concerts. This concert is in Astoria, Queens at the Most Precious Blood church, which is a remarkable acoustic space. It's a real joy to play music here (you should hear it!) The program features music of Mendelssohn and J.S. Bach, including the Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 (Sandra Coffin, trumpet soloist), and Bach's Magnificat. Conducted by Dan Radtke, the combined Goliard Chorale and the church's own "concert choir" are remarkably good; this is no ordinary church choir, but a group that has achieved a very refined sound. I'm glad to be playing in such good company. Come early, as this venue is likely to fill up.

A solo appearance! I'll be performing as trumpet soloist in Cantata No. 51 "Jauchzet Gott in Alle Landen" by J.S. Bach. Jacqueline Van Eyck is the flute soloist for the Orchestral Suite #2, and Duncan Hartman is the vocalist for Cantata 84, "Ich Habe Genug." The performance is in Manhattan at the Church for All Nations, 417 West 57th Street (between 9th & 10th Avenues), New York, NY. Admission is FREE. Tuesday October 23, 2007 - 12:30 pm
I'm not performing this, but my spouse is: Angela Gosse will perform a program of Trumpet Solos from the Italian Baroque & Renaissance. It's a "lunchtime recital" at The Church of the Transfiguration, also known as The Little Church Around the Corner. Angela is collaborating with Claudia Dumschat at the organ (the organ is known as "The Mighty Fisk" - this place has a nickname for everything!) The church is at One East 29th Street, NYC, between Madison & Fifth Avenue. View the concert series postcard ad here, or you can view the church website here. Thursday September 20, 2007 - 8:30pm

This is yet another in my long series of performances (over ten years!) with the talented conductor, Martin Rutishauser. We have presented many of the great choral works of the baroque, classical, early romantic, and modern periods. This concert features the music of J.S. Bach (including Cantata 172), and will take place at Christ & St. Stephen's church, located near Lincoln Center at 120 W 69th Street between Broadway and Columbus. For ticket information and more about the program, please check back here as the date draws closer, or check the church's website by clicking here. Saturday & Sunday December 2 & 3, 2006
The Arcadia Brass Octet with Martin Rutishauser and the Taghanic Chorale - "a holiday in Venice." Saturday evening at 8pm in Valhalla, NY and Sunday at 4pm in Ossining. I'll try to get clearer location details as the dates get nearer. Friday November 17, 2006 8pm
