Music for brass & choir, with a holiday theme. The Arcadia Brass Octet will be performing with a choir led by Martin Rutishauser. We play a holiday concert with Martin almost every year, and it's always really lovely. It's the church service that sounds like a concert! The music at this church is always concert-quality, and everyone is welcome to come. I'll be playing trumpet with my spouse, trumpeter Angela Gosse, in a program of music for two trumpets, organ and tympani. The program is part of the Installation Mass for the church's pastor, Bishop Andrew St. John (whose position will now be "Rector"). The program includes: "Fanfare for Organ and Brass" by Martin Bresnick, and other goodies by Eugene Gigout, William McKie, Herbert Howells, and Charles Wood.
